Back end Mobile App Developer

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using PHP and related frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.), or other modern backend technologies as needed.

• Create and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with mobile and web front ends.
  
• Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and ensure smooth data exchange.
  
• Manage databases (e.g., MySQL, Firebase) to store and retrieve users and nutrition data efficiently.
  
• Integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., nutrition databases, image recognition services) as required.
  
• Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend performance and scalability.
  
• Maintain technical documentation for backend systems, APIs, and database schemas.
  
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation to streamline releases.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to define functional requirements and deliver robust backend solutions.
  
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, security practices, and backend development tools.
  
• Communicate progress and technical constraints with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  

• Proficiency in backend programming languages: PHP (Laravel, Symfony), Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
  
• Experience with RESTful API design and documentation using tools like Postman or Swagger.
  
• Strong database management skills: MySQL, Firebase, or similar.
  
• Experience with version control systems: GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
  
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  
• Understanding of security best practices for backend development (authentication, data encryption, etc.).
  
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  
• Portfolio or code samples demonstrating relevant backend experience.
  
• Knowledge of cloud services and deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services.
