Job Description:
overview As a Liquidity Business Analyst,
you will support the bank’s liquidity management by improving how intraday cash positions and payment flows are monitored, forecast, and controlled. You’ll help improve the bank’s intraday liquidity capabilities by translating Treasury and Operations needs into clear requirements, delivering data-driven insights, and supporting regulatory and risk expectations. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring close partnership with Treasury, Technology and Operations to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis:
▪ Engage with stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Operations, and Technology to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements related to intraday liquidity management. ▪ Gather and document business requirements for intraday liquidity monitoring, reporting, and controls (BRD/FRD or user stories with acceptance criteria). ▪ Translate regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 248) and internal policies into actionable business and functional specifications. ▪ Maintain a prioritised backlog and manage scope, dependencies, and change impacts. ▪ Collaborate with technology teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Process Improvement & Solution Design: ▪ Map current-state intraday liquidity processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and risk reduction. ▪ Design and document target-state processes, data flows, and system enhancements. ▪ Support the design, testing, and implementation of treasury systems and tools, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal policy requirements. ▪ Develop and maintain process documentation, user guides, and training materials. ▪ Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments in cash management and liquidity, providing insights and recommendations to the team. Data & Reporting: ▪ Collaborate with data teams to define data requirements for intraday liquidity monitoring and reporting. ▪ Support the development and validation of MI dashboards and regulatory reports (e.g., Intraday Liquidity Monitoring Tools, stress testing). ▪ Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes, with a focus on risk mitigation and operational resilience. ▪ Support intraday forecasting and scenario analysis (e.g., stress days, market events, cut-off changes). Project Delivery: ▪ Support Project/Delivery managers in planning and delivering liquidity initiatives, ensuring milestones are met and risks/issues are managed. ▪ Coordinate cross-functional dependencies (Payments, Treasury platforms, data teams). ▪ Drive delivery through Agile or hybrid methods: backlog management, sprint planning, UAT coordination, release readiness. Stakeholder Management: ▪ Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a bridge between business and technology teams. ▪ Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations. ▪ Communicate impacts clearly—what’s changing, why it matters, and how teams should adopt it. Regulatory & Risk Awareness: ▪ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of intraday liquidity regulations and industry best practices. ▪ Ensure solutions are compliant with internal controls and external regulatory expectations.

- Experience gathering and documenting BRD/FRD or user stories with acceptance criteria
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications and maintain prioritized backlog
- Experience with MI/dashboard requirements, regulatory reporting and data requirement definition/validation
