The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team on a W2 basis. In this mid-level role, you will work with cloud-based data solutions, focusing on data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions within the Azure ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data initiatives and ensure data quality and accessibility for analytical purposes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Azure data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
- Implement data ingestion and transformation processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
- Optimize query performance and data retrieval processes to support BI tools and analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, specifically with Azure technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts and experience with Azure technologies.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
- Experience with Apache Spark and data processing frameworks.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related fields.
