Job requirements
- Experience Range:
- 10 to 18 years of experience, including substantial hands-on expertise delivering Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric migration projects, with direct involvement in migration planning, execution, validation, performance tuning, cutover, and post-migration optimization.
- Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Lead the end-to-end migration of Azure Synapse Analytics environments to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring seamless transition and minimal business disruption.
- 2. Develop comprehensive migration strategies encompassing planning, execution, validation, cutover, and post-migration optimization.
- 3. Implement and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related ETL technologies to support migration and ongoing operations.
- 4. Design, model, and maintain modern data warehousing solutions leveraging SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, CosmosDB, and Blob storage.
- 5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune the performance of data integration and analytics solutions throughout the migration lifecycle.
- 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all stages of the migration.
- 7. Utilize Azure Monitoring and Purview to ensure robust governance, lineage, and observability of data assets during and after migration.
- 8. Document architecture, processes, and best practices to support knowledge transfer and operational excellence post-migration.
- Required Skills:
- 1. Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric migration projects
- 2. Advanced proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL
- 3. Expertise in Azure Data Factory for ETL pipeline development
- 4. In-depth knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)
- 5. Experience with CosmosDB for data modeling and integration
- 6. Strong skills in Python for data engineering tasks
- 7. Proficiency in Databricks and Stream Analytics
- 8. Experience with Event Hub and Logic App for event-driven data architectures
- 9. Expertise in Microsoft Purview for data governance
