AWS Developer
Primary Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test driven development, deploy, operate and optimize applications that meet the expectations and needs of our customers E2E
· Interact with other software engineers, quality engineers, technical writers, and product management to understand customer needs, and then implement and develop high value features and product functionality
· Define and conduct tests - mainly automatic - to ensure successful application start-up;
· Support the integration and deployment of solutions;
· Ensure the proper functioning of applications by analysing and responding to anomalies through automated monitoring
· Set up monitoring phases and ensure the quality of production
· You will participate in all stages of the product development while following a personalized integration path allowing you to follow training and master our methodologies
· Work in Agile environment
· Very familiar with Agile, to be able to manage source code, and continues integration.
· Internalize the practices, to coach internal and external customers
· Contribute to functional specifications and product roadmap
· ability and desire to learn new tools as required is an absolute must
Required Qualifications
- 3-8 years' of hands on experience in software design and development focused on SaaS or Enterprise software product development;
- Experience of the following technologies, tools, and languages:
- Languages:
- Python (preferred)
- Windows PowerShell
- bash or other Linux shell scripting
- Server-side JavaScript with Node.js
- TypeScript or Java
- Languages:
- AWS (knowledge is not limited to only these areas)
- Lambda (using the languages above)
- CloudFormation (or HashiCorp’s Terraform tool, which outputs CloudFormation templates), a.k.a. the general term “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC)
- EC2
- CodeCommit / CodeBuild / CodePipeline, or other non-AWS CI/CD tool suites
- S3
- DynamoDB (or any non-AWS NoSQL database experience; SQL experience is helpful but less so without any NoSQL)
- VPC
- CloudWatch/CloudTrail
- IAM
- Systems Manager
- Tools
- GIT / GitHub or any SCM tool
- Junit
- Jenkins
- Jira or any bug tracking systems
- Good to know Docker, Kubernetes
- Operating System
- Linux Flavour (preferred Red Hat / CentOS, Amazon Linux, but any breed is ok as long as the knowledge and experience is there). Including good user level command knowledge and some system administration knowledge (configuring and maintaining a server).
- Windows (2012 / 2016, any other server editions). Including some Windows Server administration knowledge.
- 1 year of experience as a minimum of Agile methodology (especially Scrum).
- The ability to own a functionality (from design to deliver) to fit the needs of the team and the product
- The ability to perform customer acceptance through quality assurance as part of a cross-functional team
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, specifically involved with the development of innovative enterprise grade software
- A level of technical English is required (active participation in meetings in English, technical conversation, reading and writing of technical documents);
Desired Qualifications
- Any AWS Certification is big plus.
- Hands on experience in design and developing solutions with cloud technologies such as AWS, Vsphere, Azure, etc
- Experience working with software engineering source control management and build tools (e.g Jenkins, Rational, Perforce, etc.)
- Proficiency in one or more defect tracking and test case management software systems
- Development/scripting experience with one or more of the following – Java, C#, Selenium, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Shell Scripting, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of operating complex applications on any Linux variant
- Experience with techniques such as TDD, continuous delivery, and test coverage
- Experience with performance automation testing focused across multiple areas such as scalability, response, and load.
- Comfortable working in an Agile software engineering environment with a focus on the principals and values espoused in the Agile Manifesto
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
