What is the Senior Manager / AVP – Retail Advisory Services (RAS) responsible for?
  • The role of the AVP in the Retail Advisory Services team is responsible for formulating and driving strategy and managing key relationships across a selected set of distribution relationships, viz. National Distributors, Fintech or Independent Financial Advisors.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Senior Manager / AVP – RAS?
  • Manage the key distributor relationships - research, product, and sales strategy teams centrally for all national distributors.

  • Drive projects and initiatives to manage and develop the central gatekeeper relationships across NDs.

  • Achieve and exceed the sales target of the retail distribution for the assigned set of relationships, along with the regional sales teams.

  • Work with the senior sales leadership team in the country to improve sales delivery across NDs and get funds approved and recommended for sale on various ND platforms.

  • Strategize the business strategy with the distributors – products, pricing, sales across locations, events, etc.

  • Suggest pricing changes and do impact analysis of pricing models so that the overall objective of the firm is met.

  • Coordinate the execution of sales strategy with the regional teams internally.

  • Independently plan and suggest strategic initiatives.

  • Work with various departments within the company independently, viz. portfolio management, products, operations, etc. for smooth implementation of the strategy devised with the distribution channel.

  • Monitor sales metrics – MIS, Mathematics of Retail, Talisma, Budgets, Activities, Call Reports, weekly management reports, etc.

  • Apply the requirements of the regulatory authority and mitigate risks; escalate to senior management as needed.

  • Represent the Franklin Templeton brand and culture through day-to-day activities.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.

  • Financial advisory linked qualifications such as CFA/ CFP are preferred.

  • AMFI/NISM certification (Advisors’ Module) is mandatory.

  • 15-18 years of experience in mutual fund/ wealth management industry.

  • Strong product knowledge and understanding of local market.

  • Strong relationship management and key account management skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.

Work Shift Timings - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM IST
