About this Position

Own execution of strategic, high visibility, enterprise-wide modernization initiatives by translating strategy into actionable, measurable programs. Drive modernization across mission critical platforms while ensuring alignment with business priorities and minimizing risk. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with large scale delivery leadership experience across cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Partner with enterprise architecture, application, infrastructure, Enterprise Data, and business SMEs to assess the current technology landscape and develop clear as-is‑ architecture documentation.
  • Translate multi‑year modernization strategies into executable programs and lead day-to-day‑ delivery of modernization initiatives across internal teams and vendors.
  • Establish governance and risk management frameworks; identify and mitigate technical, security, and operational risks; and manage vendors for productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness‑.
  • Ensure infrastructure capacity, resiliency, scalability, and security controls align with modernization goals while enforcing cloud, security, and architectural standards.
  • Develop staffing plans, build and mentor high-performing teams, communicate program progress, risks, and impacts to executive leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or bachelor's degree with relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • 15+ years of technology leadership experience, including hands-on execution of enterprise-scale modernization or transformation initiatives
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, API-first and event-driven architectures, hybrid cloud environments, legacy system modernization (including mainframe), CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security frameworks
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong vendor management, program / project management, and offshore team management
