This role provides Operations Technical Support to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Smart Grid program for the NW region. The program is built on the AVEVA PI System with additional 3rd party software and system integration. This role ensures that the utility data associated with the program is able to flow continuously, while providing support for advanced functions such as integrating AMI meters and building automation system assets in PI Asset Framework. It provides IT System Administration support to ensure all application components remain online and healthy. The role will also support the transition of the PI System from the on-premises environment it resides in currently to the Azure Government Cloud environment when the environment is ready. 
This role will be performed on-site at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor in Silverdale, WA. 
Some travel may be required. Travel is not to exceed 20% per year and may include installations OCONUS. 
Training to perform additional functions roles may be required and will be provided by DSA. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support and maintenance for the customer's High Availability PI system
  • Documentation of PI System administration tasks and procedures 
  • Collecting, refining, and documenting customer requirements
  • Translate customer requirements into project deliverables
  • Resolve complex technical issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment
  • Multi-task effectively and act with limited supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidates will be measured by their focus on customer success, ability to provide hands-on support and their ability to be part of a high performing team. 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of operational Data Historian Administration (OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System, GE Proficy, AspenTech IP.21, or similar)
  • Associates degree in IT, Computer systems, or related field
  • Experience with Server/OS maintenance (patching, etc.,)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • Desire and ability to perform training programs and certifications to extend job functions

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System experience with Data Archive, Asset Framework, Asset Analytics, and PI Vision
  • Experience with Active Directory Security software
  • Technical knowledge of networks, firewalls, OT-IT network segmentation, and related hardware and software
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience and/or certifications related to Microsoft Azure System Administration or Solution Design/Architecture
  • Experience with integration of AMI (metering infrastructure) and/or utility billing systems to the AVEVA PI System
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC systems, or integration or building systems to the AVEVA PI System
  • Scripting or software development experience (PowerShell, C#, Python, Web development are preferred)

DSA - Salary Pay Range
$125,000$195,000 USD
