Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end automated test frameworks (functional, regression, performance) using Java or Python or C#.
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright for web applications.
- Experience with Mobile websites and Native Mobile applications (iOS, Android) using Appium.
- Experience with Oracle based applications or SAS (Statistical Analysis Software) product or Cisco product.
- Expertise in testing RESTful interfaces using tools like REST Assured, Postman/Newman, or custom HTTP clients.
- Apply design patterns (Page Object, Factory, Singleton, others) to ensure modular, maintainable, and extensible frameworks.
- Experience with TDD, BDD, Pytest, Robot framework, Testng (Nice to have one or more).
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and execute them in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with JMeter and/or LoadRunner to design, execute, and analyse performance/load tests.
- Embed automated tests into deployment pipelines and ensure seamless execution on every build.
- Containerize test environments with Docker and orchestrate test execution on Kubernetes clusters.
- Build and manage Jenkins (or equivalent) automation jobs, configuring pipelines to trigger tests on commits, merges, or nightly schedules.
- Provision test environments in a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
- Participate in code reviews for test code, infrastructure-as-code, and product code to enforce coding standards and minimize technical debt.
- Mentor and upskill junior automation engineers, document best practices, and maintain a repository of reusable components.
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and tools (e.g., GPT-based test generation, MCP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 – 9 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including at least 5 years leading automation initiatives.
