About the Role

Weee! Automation Technician will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, computer, and robotic systems. A successful candidate has a thorough knowledge in all automation related hardware, software, system components, configurations, functions, telemetries, programmings and troubleshootings to ensure uninterrupted daily operations continuity. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the automation system
  • Become the first point of contact for any automation system related issues
  • Identify the cause of the issues and provide resolutions in a timely manner to minimize system downtime
  • Troubleshooting Robot Errors: Analyze error reports and system alerts to identify issues with robots, charging stations, and other equipment.
  • Robot Navigation Issues: Investigate and resolve instances where robots are unable to navigate properly within the designated area or encounter obstacles.
  • Charging Station Maintenance: Address charging abnormalities, such as charging failures or incorrect status indicators, to ensure robots receive adequate power to operate efficiently.
  • Response and resolve service tickets and escalate the issues to the system vendor to ensure high system reliability, availability, and resolution
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and troubleshoot control components to ensure safety and operational efficiency
  • Report system quality issues and file reports as directed and required
  • Assist team members with the specification, installation and modification of systems
  • Work with team members and leadership on assigned projects
  • Install, maintain and inspect to ensure systems are properly calibrated
  • Provide system operation training on the assigned automation systems
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years field service experience
  • Best-practice and professional knowledge of industrial maintenance and standards
  • Practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules. Adherence to the Company Safety Policies.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Knowledge and understanding of PLCs. i.e. inputs and outputs to and from devices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of power systems, Control Cabinet wiring and safety, Motors (DC and AC), Controllers, and Communications tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend software programs to assist in the troubleshooting and maintenance of systems.
  • Ability to use forklifts and personnel lifts (obtain and maintain certification and trainer status)
  • Knowledge of hot work and piping (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communications
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs., walk distances, and stand for periods of time


Work Schedule: 

  • Late evening shift starting from 4pm to 2am
  • Working days will include weekends

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $63,000-$80,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
