About the Role
The Automation Solution Analyst is responsible for working with business partners to identify and understand their needs, assess the impact of system and process changes, gather and document requirements, lead testing, facilitate change management and training, and coordinate key milestone activities. This role works closely with other solution analysts, solution architects, designers and technology solution partners to help ensure that planned technical solutions align with identified business needs. This is a critical role that helps ensure the successful application of technology to support automotive business activities.
What You Will Do
- Engage directly with business team leaders and sponsors to discuss business goals and challenges.
- Detail and document business case (including ROI and benefits assessment) and requirements.
- Envision solutions to meet business requirements aligning with corporate and automotive technology platforms including ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, SAP, Qlik, and Workday.
- Maintain business analysis process standards and practices aligning with overall organizational practices.
- Collaboration with internal and external development teams to align technical vision with business needs.
- Serve as a conduit between the business and technical teams.
- Develop and delivery training plans for solutions being introduced.
- Create plans for future enhancement of team managed solution.
- Identify project risks and challenges and identify remediation/avoidance activities.
- Work directly with internal and vendor project teams on project implementation activities.
- Create testing plans and coordinate end user testing activities.
- Manage defect tracking and remediation activities.
- Lead product analysis, comparisons, and selections.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 3+ years of experience translating business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Expertise in Project Management Methodology.
- Experience managing project budgets, risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and work across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests, simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests.
- Strong analytical and project coordination skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone and clarity, along with expertise in Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in a corporate setting and comfort interacting with people at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Confidence working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, often with ambiguity and requiring the ability to pivot.
- Empathy for colleagues in different circumstances, enabling you to tailor materials to their needs.
- Experience working in a distributed multi-national team environment.
- Experience envisioning solutions making up corporate legal and compliance technology landscape.
- Proven ability to creatively solve business problems using technology solutions and processes.
- A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience envisioning solutions leveraging ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
- Project Management Certification (PMP or Agile/Scrum Master)
- Experience in global, multi-cultural companies.
