Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for upkeeping of automation systems, its equipment’s, programs and documentation during normal operation of the plant. Then, as a person in charge of plant maintenance (electrical and instrumentation), should performs maintenance and improvement work on production equipment when the line stops. Also perform any modifications, improvements, implementation of new automation systems in accordance with group standards.
Key Result Areas (Engineering)
Collaborates and offers input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new implementation with global engineer.
Ensure smooth start-up of new/modified equipment together with equipment vendors.
Identify and drive change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes.
Understand the machine operating principle, Consequence of wear and tear parts and product defects.
Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
Should be willing to learn & enhance the skill in all type of Automation equipment.
Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of process and equipment.
To undertake all other duties or responsibilities assigned by manager.
Key Result Areas (Maintenance)
Act as the Electrical & Automation lead for Maintenance Team and oversee all electrical & automation works.
Responsible in planning and overseeing the performance of all plant automation, instrumentation installation and facilities.
Ensure all software and hardware of PLC, VSD and PC are available and that an effective maintenance strategy is in place.
To implement the Planned Electrical & Automation Preventative Maintenance program to ensure continuous operation of plant’s machineries and facilities.
To make sure that field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks and interfaces are working properly.
To lead and provide necessary planning and implementation to maintain plant’s instrumentation and PLC system in good working condition.
Perform regular preventive uploading/information backup to ensure that equipment’s are maintained to run smoothly.
To build up and maintain on instrumentation and control systems that sense, quantify and run functioning process. Recommends and implement improvements to our automation tools and processes.
To monitor and keep record of the plant machineries and spare parts.
Monitor the energy used at the plant and plan and implement necessary energy-saving measures.
Monitor the internet facility used at the plant and plan and implement necessary measures.
To undertake all other duties or responsibilities assigned by manager.
