What You'll Do

  • Use AutoCAD software to generate detailed technical drawings based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Produce structural and piping drawings and details for water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to understand project objectives and ensure accurate representation in drawings.
  • Make revisions to existing drawings by incorporating feedback from project stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company and industry drafting standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and team members to communicate design concepts and resolve drawing-related questions.
  • Maintain organized electronic drawing files and project documentation.
  • Stay current on AutoCAD advancements, drafting technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Possesses a teamwork attitude.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of AutoCAD drafting experience required.
  • Experience producing structural and piping drawings preferred.
  • Experience in the water, wastewater, or industrial construction industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to view computer screens for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Skills Required
