AutoCAD Drafter
Location: Houston, TX 77041
Hourly Rate: $24.52–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do
- Use AutoCAD software to generate detailed technical drawings based on project specifications and requirements.
- Produce structural and piping drawings and details for water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to understand project objectives and ensure accurate representation in drawings.
- Make revisions to existing drawings by incorporating feedback from project stakeholders.
- Adhere to company and industry drafting standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and team members to communicate design concepts and resolve drawing-related questions.
- Maintain organized electronic drawing files and project documentation.
- Stay current on AutoCAD advancements, drafting technologies, and industry best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Possesses a teamwork attitude.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of AutoCAD drafting experience required.
- Experience producing structural and piping drawings preferred.
- Experience in the water, wastewater, or industrial construction industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to view computer screens for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
