What you’ll do:
The MRI Authorizations are responsible to work with the staff to expeditiously contact the various entities, provide accurate clinical and demographic information, obtain the authorizations in a timely manner, communicate the information to the patient and schedule appointments, as it relates to MRI’s.
Responsibilities/Duties:

Obtain MRI Orders/requests for target locations in the organization by monitoring our EMR System, phone, online, or emails.

Conduct Online/Phone Authorization request for MRI.

Conduct Online/Phone authorization investigation of MRI benefits.
-
Communication of authorization/benefits/co-payments to patients prior to exams.
-
Update authorization status through process and confirm receipt of MRI.

Scheduling of MRI and follow-up visits with the physicians.

Facilitation of Peer-to-Peer reviews for MRI, as needed.

Provision of Medical records in pursuit of MRI’s.

Documentation of Authorization processed through various systems: Centricity/Exscribe/Health I Pass

Other duties as assigned.

High School Graduate or equivalent

Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

What We Do
Ortho Rhode Island is a statewide orthopedic healthcare organization providing specialized care and rehabilitation across Rhode Island. Its services include orthopedic treatment, physical therapy, sports medicine, occupational therapy, imaging, and same-day orthopedic care.
