The Role:

As the Authorisations Administrator, you’ll be required to liaise with insurers, self-funding patients and other third parties. The role will involve administration of patient records to ensure the finance team and wider business are always informed of progress and changes to forthcoming treatment. This is a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid working model, offering flexibility and stability.

What You'll Do:

Liaise with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with insurance companies, patients, consultants, secretaries, radiographers, nursing staff, finance, and patient administration teams to ensure treatment authorisation, accurate billing, and seamless patient care.

Manage Patient Accounts & Payments:

• Ensure treatment costs are verified, payment terms are communicated, and patient accounts are managed efficiently in collaboration with the finance and accounts receivable teams.

Maintain Accurate Patient Records:

• Update and manage patient referral and treatment information in line with GenesisCare processes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policies and legislation.

Deliver Excellent Customer Service:

• Provide a high standard of communication, organisation, and professionalism to ensure patients and insurers receive the best possible service.

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration, medical secretarial work, insurance claims processing, patient accounts, finance administration, customer service or reception an advantage.
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to work to deadlines
• Ability to multitask and prioritise

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Understanding of customer care
• GCSE and or A Level qualification
• Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
