We are looking for an experienced Australian Accountant to join our offshore accounting team in Surat. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Australian accounting and bookkeeping, with a good understanding of Australian compliance, taxation, and accounting practices.
You will be responsible for managing accounting and bookkeeping activities for Australian clients and ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality deliverables.
Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting for Australian clients.
Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Prepare and review BAS, GST and IAS.
Assist with Australian tax returns and compliance requirements.
Prepare month-end and year-end accounts and financial statements.
Handle month-end adjustments, accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for Australian clients.
Review financial data and identify discrepancies or accounting issues.
Communicate directly with Australian clients and respond to accounting queries.
Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Support senior accountants and managers with complex accounting and client assignments.
3–5 years of relevant Australian Accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting & Taxation.
Hands-on experience with Xero / QuickBooks Online / MYOB.
Good understanding of BAS, GST, IAS and Australian compliance.
Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting skills.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong MS Excel skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple Australian client accounts.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
