About Company Ventures

Company Ventures is a first check venture firm. We provide founders daily access to a community of excellence, embedded in world class physical space, surrounded by the support of our investment team. We have witnessed this type of environment function as a massive accelerant towards success for hundreds of companies including Rogo, Fleet, Maven, TigerData, Tabs, Basic Capital, Beehiiv, Stepful and many others.

We are now investing out of our third fund, writing first checks into pre-seed and seed companies building data and application-layer AI businesses across healthcare, fintech, and business software. We also run Terrarium, our healthcare venture studio, incubating new companies from scratch alongside operator entrepreneurs-in-residence.

We're small and hands-on. Everyone sources, diligences, and gets close to founders.

The Opportunity

The core of Company Ventures is our Residency program which we’ve been operating for over a decade now. It is an extremely selective program that requires constant attention and energy to be run at the highest level. We're hiring an Associate to do just that.

In this role you will run our Founder Residency day to day, build a calendar of events people actually want to attend, and make sure that when we spot someone exceptional, there's already a way to bring them into our world. Social media and content are core to this role. You should also be comfortable enough with modern AI tools to build the lightweight systems that make all of this scale: trackers, automations, outreach workflows, etc.

This is a highly visible seat. You'll work closely with our investment and talent teams and with founders across our residency and portfolio.

What You'll Do

Build a Finely-Tuned Calendar of Value-Add Events

  • Design and run a recurring calendar of community events and formats that actually earn people's time — workshops, new company idea brainstorms, founders lunches, innovation days, expert conversations. Not generic happy hours..

  • Every event needs a reason to exist: a topic worth debating, a person worth hearing from, a connection worth making. If it wouldn't hold a room of skeptical, busy builders, it doesn't go on the calendar.

  • Own the room once people are in it. You're comfortable hosting — reading a crowd, keeping a conversation moving, making sure the right people meet each other.

Constantly Activate and Replenish a Vital Talent Pipeline

  • Work in lockstep with our talent and investment teams: when we identify someone exceptional — a researcher, an engineer, a future founder — you're the mechanism that gets them into our world immediately, whether that's an event invite, a residency conversation, or an introduction that matters to them.

  • Build the lightweight tools that make that possible at scale: use AI coding agents to build a tracker, automate a follow-up sequence, or score and prioritize who to reach out to next, instead of running it all from memory and spreadsheets.

  • Turn "we should meet this person" into an actual touchpoint within days, not months.

  • Help make our community itself a reason talented people say yes to a conversation with us.

Run Our Residency Program

  • Own day-to-day operations of our Founder Residency — admissions coordination, onboarding, and the rhythm of the year for the ~30 teams building in our space.

  • Be the primary point of contact for resident founders: the person who knows what everyone's working on, what they need, and who else in the building can help.

  • Continuously improve the program itself — what's working, what's not, and where it should evolve year over year.

Own Our Social & Content Presence

  • Build and run Company Ventures' content and social media presence. This isn't an occasional task tacked onto the job — it's a core part of what we're hiring for.

  • Turn what happens in our space and our residency into content worth other people's attention: recaps, founder spotlights, event highlights, and the kind of posts that make people want to be in the room next time.

  • Have a real point of view on what's working across platforms right now, and the range to produce it yourself — writing, photo, video, editing, and using AI tools to move faster without losing your own voice.

Requirements
  • A natural host. You like bringing people together and you're good at it (i.e. reading a room, keeping energy up, making sure the interesting person in the corner gets pulled into the conversation).

  • Genuine taste in programming. You have a point of view on what makes an event worth attending versus forgettable, and you can defend it.

  • Proven execution of brand-building social media and content. Show us what you've made — a following you've grown, a content series you've run, a voice you've built.

  • Comfortable building with AI tools. You're comfortable enough with tools like Claude Code or Cursor to build a lightweight tracker, automate an outreach sequence, or put together a simple workflow yourself, rather than waiting on someone else to build it for you.

  • Organized enough to run a full events calendar and a year-long residency cohort at the same time without dropping details.

  • Comfortable working across the firm — with the investment team, the talent team, founders, and outside partners — since this role touches all of them.

  • Excited to be in person every day at our offices at 22 Vanderbilt.

Nice to Have
  • Experience running a community, residency, fellowship, or membership program — a coworking space, an accelerator, a professional community, or similar

  • A demonstrated personal or professional social media following or body of content work

  • Experience building lightweight internal tools or automations — even informally: a personal project, a scraper, a workflow you've automated for yourself or a past job

  • Experience in talent, recruiting, or another people-facing function

  • Photo/video/design skills — shooting and editing your own content, not just directing someone else who does

  • Natural host with ability to read a room and facilitate conversations
  • Genuine taste in programming and event design
  • Proven execution of brand-building social media and content
  • Comfortable building with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to create trackers and automations
  • Organized enough to run a full events calendar and a year-long residency cohort without dropping details
  • Ability to work across teams (investment, talent, founders, partners)
  • In-person presence at offices at 22 Vanderbilt daily
  • Experience running a community, residency, fellowship, or membership program
  • Demonstrated personal or professional social media following or body of content work
  • Experience building lightweight internal tools or automations (personal project or past job)
  • Experience in talent, recruiting, or another people-facing function
  • Photo, video, or design skills (shooting and editing your own content)
