Job Description
Job Purpose (Job Summary): The general role of the Associate is to work with the Head of Underwriting and to support Senior Associates, Associate Directors and Acquisition Officers to underwrite all new transactions entering IRE’s pipeline and manage the process throughout the various stages of the acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Conduct valuation analysis for potential acquisitions of institutional-quality multi-family, industrial, office, retail and alternative sector properties.

Assist in creating comprehensive and concise investment packages for presentation to the Invesco Investment Committee, providing all necessary support for the assumptions used.

Identify and clearly communicate the major risks associated with investment opportunities, both verbally and in writing.

Perform and offer expertise in all aspects of financial modeling, with a focus on unleveraged, leveraged, and structured analysis of institutional real estate.

Support the entire investment process by conducting due diligence and researching market conditions, including: physical assessments, location assessments, rent comparables, sales comparables, and replacement costs, while collaborating with internal and external teams.
Qualifications

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the underwriting of equity investments in commercial real estate

Proficiency in Argus (AE) and Excel, with skills validated by an external exam.

Solid foundational knowledge of commercial real estate.

Proficient in research, analysis, and problem-solving, with the ability to interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.

The salary range for this position in New York is $110,000 - $125,000 annually. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
