Job Summary:
This is a position in the Trading Development team in supporting Trading projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and resilience of the Hong Kong securities / Stock Connect / derivatives markets.The role promises to be both dynamic and impactful, offering a chance to contribute significantly to our ongoing efforts in strengthening the market's robustness.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the planning and implementation of Trading Development projects/ initiatives for enhancement of the HK securities / Stock Connect / derivatives markets
- Prepare and maintain business requirement documentation with the respective functional teams
- Track project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely progress
- Conduct data analysis, including financial and operational metrics, to support project evaluation and decision‑making
- Able to build effective working relationships and engage internal stakeholders constructively to support project coordination and delivery
- Conduct market, regulatory, and policy research relating to market development for the execution of strategic projects
- Prepare write-ups, management papers, reports, proposals and presentation materials (both in English and Chinese)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines
- Minimum of 2-5 years of direct, hands-on experience in well-established financial organization focusing on project management, business analyst, or securities business operations
- Good knowledge of HK securities / Stock Connect / derivatives market
- Ability to analyse end‑to‑end operational workflows and assist in identifying process gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
- Comfortable working with complex trading or operational workflows and learning how system logic translates into business and operational impacts
- Able to manage stakeholders internally, adding value to the discussions
- Strong numerical skills and experience in financial analysis
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
- A self-starter, able to work and manage issues both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
