Position Overview:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Associate Tool & Fixture Specialist (Level B) to join the Powerfeed Team in Final Assembly to support the 787 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina.
This team sets-up positive feed, power feed, and orbital drill motors as well as presetting cutting tools, for major aircraft joins. By joining this team you'll be able to join a team with a positive work culture.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provides tooling support to other organizations.

Operates various factory support equipment to move materials, product, and tools as required.

Performs routine tool set up and prep activities.

Assists with minor repairs needed for tools.

Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools

Support liaison for project improvements

Manages process compliance and inventory accuracy for the Powerfeed Team
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
-
Must be willing to work train on 1st shift and support a 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
-
Must be able to work some weekends
-
Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
-
1+ years of experience with the set-up, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of machine tools
-
1+ years of experience in repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, powerfeed, etc.
-
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Certification and Fall Protection Certification
-
Must be able to obtain and maintain Respirator certification.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
-
6+ months of experience setting-up and maintaining power feed drills.
-
6+ months of experience in setting-up cutters for both manual and automation operations.
-
6+ months of experience in operating overhead cranes and/or mobile cranes.

This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is need.
