Job Summary:

Testing Engineer will provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks and strategies. This role is critical for driving quality engineering practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring efficient and scalable testing solutions across projects.
This position requires strong technical expertise in test automation, and quality engineering, combined with the ability to mentor teams and influence stakeholders.

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber + Ruby + Selenium).
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business and application and testing teams, to design and implement advanced and suitable automation solutions and tools for complex applications, e.g. trading systems, clearing and risk systems
• Consolidated test libraries and tools from various projects into reusable assets, reducing duplication and delivering significant time and cost savings
• Define and apply technical standards and best practices for testing cross, ensuring alignment with company standards and practices
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and foster innovation in test automation and quality processes, translating these efforts into enhanced application quality, reduced time-to-market, and significant cost savings
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to test engineers and automation specialists
• Hands on testing and/or scripting in projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in software testing
• Strong expertise in testing techniques, test automation tools and frameworks (Cucumber, Selenium, Ruby).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Ruby, Python, Java), development experience is preferred
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Background or Experience in financial, trading and/or clearing systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to prioritize workload under pressure, managing tight deadlines and multiple projects
