As Associate Technical Writer, you’ll play a crucial role in crafting clear and comprehensive documentation for our client’s products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to create user-friendly content that enhances the overall user experience and accelerates the adoption of our products.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain a range of technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand complex technical concepts.
- Translate technical information into concise and easy-to-understand content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Organize and structure documentation effectively, ensuring information is logically presented and easily accessible.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established style guidelines in all written materials.
- Work closely with product managers and development teams to stay up-to-date with product updates, features, and changes.
- Conduct thorough reviews and edits to improve the clarity, accuracy, and usability of documentation.
- Assist in the design and formatting of documentation to enhance visual appeal and readability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to repurpose technical content for marketing materials, blog posts, and other external communications.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in technical writing to continually enhance the quality of documentation.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- An active U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance (or higher).
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT and/or cybersecurity fields.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, Markdown, etc.
- Familiarity with software development concepts, APIs, and related technologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and the ability to gather information from subject matter experts.
- Basic understanding of federal IT and cybersecurity oversight.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of technical writing samples.
