Intara is a small New York-based consultancy that helps clients build, launch, and grow digital products. We are hiring an Associate Technical Project Manager to help run a SaaS product build for a client in biotech and digital health.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role. You will report directly to Intara's founder and CEO, help keep a zero-to-one software project organized and moving, manage stakeholders, and handle a meaningful amount of technical triage and lightweight execution yourself—including front-end changes in production codebases.
The right person for this role likes being the one who keeps things tight, clear, and moving.
This is not a role for someone looking for a large-company environment, a fully built-out team, or a lot of existing process. It is a strong fit for someone early in their career who is highly organized, detail-obsessed, a strong writer, calm under pressure, and excited to learn quickly in a founder-close environment.
For the current engagement, this role will be based in the client's New York City office several days per week. We're looking for someone who is genuinely excited to work in-person and hands-on with the client. Exact days are flexible.
What you'll do
- Run day-to-day project management across a SaaS product build
- Keep priorities, timelines, owners, and follow-up tightly organized
- Coordinate engineering and other delivery resources on the Intara side
- Gather requirements, track decisions, and maintain project documentation
- Lead client-facing meetings and send clear, structured follow-up
- Build trust with senior external stakeholders and adapt your communication to different audiences
- Translate ambiguous discussions into concrete plans, owners, and next steps
- Triage incoming product and technical requests
- Complete QA, UAT, and release-readiness tasks
- Run configuration and admin work directly
- Make front-end changes in production codebases (HTML, CSS, templating)
- Use tools like Claude Code, GitHub, Linear, and Asana to investigate issues, move work forward, and reduce unnecessary escalation
- Improve internal workflows and proactively build small automations where useful
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in project management, client delivery, product operations, digital product work, consulting, or a similarly execution-heavy role
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written communication—clear, direct, professional, client-ready
- High follow-through and strong ownership
- Good judgment about priorities, risks, and when to escalate
- Comfort working closely with a founder in a small, fast-moving team
- Enough technical fluency to work directly in modern software delivery tools and make front-end changes yourself
- Interest in AI-assisted workflows and practical use of tools like Claude Code
- Excitement about in-person collaboration in New York City
Nice to have
- Experience with QA, UAT, release coordination, or implementation work
- Familiarity with Next.js, Django, or similar web application environments
- Experience building simple internal automations or workflow improvements
- Experience in biotech, digital health, SaaS, or other stakeholder-heavy environments
- Experience supporting experimentation or testing workflows
What success looks like in the first 6 months
- The current client engagement is organized, responsive, and well run
- Client stakeholders trust your communication and follow-through
- Routine issues are being handled without unnecessary escalation
- Delivery is more structured and predictable because you are in the role
- You lead day-to-day execution under founder supervision
- You begin to support a second project or broader delivery needs within Intara
Benefits
- Health insurance reimbursement
- 401(k) match
- Equipment stipend
- Unlimited PTO
Work authorization
Intara is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
How to apply
Please submit:
- Your resume
- LinkedIn profile
- Short answers to the following three questions
- Tell us about a project you helped keep on track across multiple stakeholders. What was moving, what system did you use to stay organized, and what did you personally do to keep it from slipping?
- Tell us about a technical or product issue you solved yourself instead of simply handing it off. This could include QA, debugging, configuration, tooling, documentation, or lightweight implementation work. Be specific about what you did.
- Draft the email you would send to a client after learning that a key feature will launch 10 days late because QA uncovered issues that need to be fixed first. Keep it concise, direct, and professional.
