We are looking for an Associate Technical Consultant who wants to gain valuable customer-facing work experience in a challenging and progressive environment, so that they may expect to develop their career in Professional Services at Doan.
Under the direction of Daon’s Principal and Senior Technical Consultants, you willl have the opportunity to expand your academic knowledge and understandings by gaining experience in the application of the TrustX technology stack toward the satisfaction of real-world business problems.

The successful candidate will be:

• Trained in a third-level institution, in software design and development, with a particular focus on modern web technologies.
• Able to take direction from senior Professional Services personnel on behalf of customer stakeholders
• Experienced in the use of business solutions for mobile and web-based users
• Capable of clear and articulate communication, both written and oral, so that they will in time be able to present and document the capabilities of the Daon technology stack to our customers
• Able to understand how Daon’s customers deploy and integrate TrustX technology into robust and scalable solutions, built to handle the performance demands of millions of end users.
  

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Involved in the design and deployment of solutions built on the Daon technology stack, using a variety of mobile and backend technologies – including Python, Android/Java, Objective-C/Swift, HTML5, REST API Services, .NET, JSON and SQL technologies
• Responsible for understanding, triaging, and remediating customer feature requests, defect reports and other non-functional requirements, under the direction of senior Professional Services personnel
• Coordination with other team members, to ensure that project deliverables are on time and meet or exceed client requirements
• Timely communication with stakeholders within Daon and at the customer site
• Assistance with complex UAT and go-live scenarios
• Assistance in pre-sales engagements, to identify project requirements, implementation strategy, schedule, etc
• Other duties will be assigned as the role evolves and the business develops
  

Required - Training & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
• Excellent communications skills, befitting an Associate Technical Consultant
• Evidence of significant experience in a customer-facing environment
• Knowledge of Enterprise web development, including API web service design and development experience, and an understanding of enterprise system integration concepts (reliability, scalability, transactionality, security etc.)
• Theoretical knowledge of cloud based platforms such as AWS, GCP and Azure
• Experience with web servers and application servers such as Apache Tomcat and IB
• An understanding of enterprise relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C, and 3rd-party libraries and frameworks (eg. RxJava, Retrofit, Dagger)
  

Nice to have - additional skills:

• iOS or Android app development
• Knowledge of mobile app frameworks such as React Native and Ionic
• Experience in information security topics, including biometrics and PK
