Job Description:

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an Associate, Sponsorship Consulting to join our team. This opportunity applies to our Cincinnati, OH office and will report into the Sr. Manager, Sponsorship Consulting. You will assist the team to negotiate and implement sponsorships, activation development, talent management, and oversight of official partnerships. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with Fortune 500 clients and will work within the WNBA and women's sports.

About You             

We are looking for an organized self-starter with WNBA and women’s sports experience to help manage integrated sponsorship activation campaigns with our roster of clients. You'll be part of a team of experienced marketers in developing, executing, and measuring performance of WNBA activation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • You will assist senior team members with daily management of client partnerships

  • Coordinate client and partner status calls, capture meeting notes, delineate next steps, and organize status reports

  • You will support development of activation plans, proposals to clients, and execution of activation plans, sometimes including onsite activation support (requiring travel).

  • Track partnership deliverables and help manage partnership trackers to keep clients up to date on partnership success tracking. Compile reports to send to clients.

  • Lead client and team calls. Initiate and respond to daily client requests.

  • Vet and provide POV's on sponsorship opportunities and talent relationships in the sports and entertainment space.

  • Strategize with clients to ensure talent relationships and contracts are managed/implemented

  • Occasional travel is required, included weekends and occasional holidays

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • 2+ years of WNBA experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Understanding of the sponsorship and entertainment landscape.

  • Knowledge of and ability to navigate the WNBA / Women’s Sports ecosystem

  • Experience working on high-profile programs in the sports marketing space.

  • Experience developing presentations and marketing activations plans.

  • Understanding of the social and digital landscape (audience insights, trends, analytics and reporting)

  • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with teams from different offices around the country

  • Prior experience/knowledge of customer/retailer landscape with a CPG focus preferred

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to generate creative solutions to business and marketing challenges facing our clients

Additional information

The annual salary range for this position is $51,000-$62,500

Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
