Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate Space Vehicle Engineer (Level 2) to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.
This position will be responsible for health and safety of space vehicles (SV), subsystem analysis, and implementation and verification of specific products loaded to the Space Vehicle.
Specialized training will be provided on necessary skills for ground and Space Vehicle configuration management. Required certifications will be earned though on-the-job (OJT) training and self-study during allotted on-the-job time.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure integrity of the ground system and command path in support of the mission
- Use MS-Windows or UNIX based computers for the development of the operational plan and analysis of data collected in support of planning future contacts or anomaly resolution
- Coordinate with management and peers to ensure integrity of operational products including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration
- Analyze technical data and verify and sustain specific system configuration in accordance with defined parameters and operational requirements
- Monitor system performance and control system elements by initiating change commands to the system configuration to achieve mission objectives
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Able to successfully complete the Space Vehicle Certification program (Post Start), for continued employment, which requires a combination of self-study and on-the-job (OJT) training
- Ability to support after-hours deployments and rotational on-call
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly
- Classroom or work-related experience with aerospace or electrical engineering vehicles
