Role:
As an Associate Software Engineer at Avasant, you will be responsible for the development of solutions and platforms for Avasant.
The key roles and responsibilities for this position would include the following:
- Be able to write effective and scalable codes to develop a project through its entire lifecycle
- Build, maintain and deploy state-of-the-art web applications using a variety of languages and tools
- Quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced development environment
- Support the team in writing documentation and building tools to enhance productivity
- Solve problems, and drive automation and analysis leveraging complex data sets
- Implement security and data protection solutions
- Work closely with and incorporate feedback from product, designers, and other key stakeholders within the company
- Attention to detail, strong sense of ownership, and pride in the quality of one's work
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones/ geographies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in IT/Computer Science/Programming/Web Development or Bachelor of Technology/Engineering
- Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills
- 2-4 years of work experience with specialization in programming language: Python and JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Fast API)
- Basic skills in: React, REST API, WebSocket, Web Services and Git
- Basic knowledge of how to code user interaction in JavaScript (knowledge of how to manipulate the DOM, handle events, etc.) or good knowledge of ReactJS
- Basic knowledge of how working of LLM, Langchain or LamaIndex, RAG, MCP, Conventional Agents and Workflow
- Knowledge of using Gen-AI based coding tools like Github Copliot, Cursor, Windsurf or others
Good to have skills:
- Knowledge of NoSQL and Data Modelling, will be considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of Docker, GCP or Azure
- Entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to lead and drive new initiatives to further personal and organizational goals
