POSITION OVERVIEW
The Associate Software Engineer role within e2open is an entry level position within the Development team, creating and updating programs to meet the needs of our customers. Using a variety of software languages, tools and techniques, the Associate Software Engineer delivers high quality products according to the specifications outlined by Product Management according to the standards set across the company.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Technology
- Apply a beginning knowledge of programming languages for software development
- Understand the use of Open Source including proper incorporation
- Practice interface security, data encryption, ethical hacking, and DoS attack prevention
- Exercise software build technologies including source control, build and branching, automation
Development
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies
- Implement and test enhancement feature requests to enhance product functionality as needed with minimal risk to existing product stability, reliability, and performance
- Create unit tests and proactively validate all developed software
- Troubleshoot defects on developed code cooperatively
- Follow best practices for security guidelines internally and in developed software
- Implement product ‘stories’ to create software exceeding customer needs
- Follow processes, guidelines, and best practices defined by senior staff and management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical Qualifications:
- C# and .NET 6
- SQL and SQL Server
- NET Core
- Git
- Web services (SOAP, REST) and microservices
- OOD (Object Oriented Design) and design patterns
- Microsoft C# coding conventions and .NET naming guidelines
- Postman API platform
- HTML and CSS
- Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent domain
- 1+ years of experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of computers involving viewing a monitor and keyboarding most of the workday
- Placing, receiving, and participating in conference calls
- Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- May require 10% travel or more if needed
