The Supply Chain organization has responsibility for planning and scheduling the Lilly Alzey Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging operations.
The (Senior) Associate Production Planning is a key contact for planning and production information occurring at Lilly Alzey. This role is an important link for many Departments in the plant and with the Global Supply Chain for scheduling updates and issue resolution.
The (Senior) Associate Production Planning is responsible for evaluation of capacity requirements for a resource and developing the assembly, packaging and/or parenteral schedules. The (Senior) Associate Production Planning focus is translating demand forecasts (commercial, development, projects) into the master schedule (planned in monthly and weekly buckets) and preparing the various sets of data to support the Capacity Requirements Plan (CRP) and Sales Inventory and Operations Plan (SI&OP) in order to align all site production-related activities.
Safety & Quality
- Maintain a safe workplace through proper ergonomic practices (WorkPlace compliance and use of ergo equipment)
- Maintain a state of compliance (learning plan, SOP adherence, etc.)
Planning/Scheduling
- Alignment and optimization of both short- and long-term production plans with operations capacity constraints to drive production to inventory targets for assembled and packaged materials
- Prepares and presents the data for CRP, SI&OP and other presentations as needed
- Converts the production plan to a master production schedule
- Member of the Process Team, working with operations to resolve capacity challenges and unplanned production issues
- Timely processing of past due process orders
- Serve as a general hub for all schedule related communication in the FlowTeam; represent supply chain at Flow and Lead Team meetings if required
- Work with Purchasing colleagues to ensure component availability to meet the production plan
Capacity Management
- Generate, analyze and report plant capacity analysis
- Perform scenario analysis to understand impact of various strategic options
Network with all stakeholders to assure production plan is achievable
- Work with upstream and downstream Global Supply Chain resources as necessary to align plans; works with other schedulers to trade off resources, as necessary
- Integrates alternate demand into production schedule to meet site needs
SAP knowledge & Metrics
- Thorough understanding of SAP processes such as Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) as well as processing of exception messages
- Help set up SAP master data as necessary; work to ensure data is maintained accurately (recipes, standards, data clean-up, etc.)
- Generates and analyzes OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence) metrics
- Work with stakeholders to improve plant supply chain processes and performance
- Drive clean net requirements by ensuring planning data flows correctly through system interfaces and parameters, minimizing distortions and gaps
- Governance of production planning parameters
- Utilize software tools and systems effectively to support production planning activities and maintain accurate data records.
- Effective task prioritization and management
- Support Production Planning organization systems and processes
- Creation of Standard Operating Procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- 3 -5 years of work experience in a similar role
- Experience in GxP-Manufacturing preferred
- Previous SAP and experience
- Strong organizational and Project Management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of MRP, OSSCE helpful
- Customer oriented
- Excellent Computer skills (e.g., MPS, MRP, SAP, APO, Excel, MS O365 Suite)
- Language requirements: English (C1) and German (B2)
