Associate/Senior Associate, Client Services - Portfolio Analytics and Reporting (6 Month Contract)

The Associate/Senior Associate, SPAR Client Service, is responsible for providing portfolio analytics and reporting services for the firm's private markets investment clients and related portfolios. The Senior Associate will work closely with the department's senior leadership, as well as other departments (e.g., Accounting, Research, Investor Relations), to support the firm's global investment activities.
As a senior stakeholder within the department, the SPAR Senior Associate is expected to contribute to both client management and team development.
Essential Job FunctionsClient Management- Act as a department resource for client relationship management.
- Serve as account manager, overseeing all aspects of the client monitoring and reporting cycle, with a focus on the firm's private equity and multi-asset client base.
- Perform final review and sign-off for core client deliverables.
- Ensure key deadlines are established, communicated, and consistently met.
- Manage, anticipate, and communicate requirements for client deliverables.
- Lead and effectively delegate resources on ad hoc client projects when necessary.
- Ensure succession plans and institutional knowledge are maintained to support uninterrupted client service (e.g., client lead backups, documentation of unique processes and procedures).
- Partner with other client service account managers to help manage the team's day-to-day operations.
- Develop, engage, and mentor junior staff by providing challenging work, guidance, and increasing levels of responsibility based on performance.
- Reinforce department-wide communications, initiatives, and training objectives with junior team members.
- Promote continuous skill development by identifying strengths and development areas and improving overall team effectiveness.
- Mentor and develop junior team members outside of direct reporting lines and actively contribute to broader department team-building efforts.
- Demonstrate and model respectful communication, helping set the standard and culture for the wider department.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of financial accounting and the ability to learn new performance and portfolio reporting systems.
- Proven ability to lead projects and/or teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across different departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Interest in global financial markets.
