About this role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Associate to join our growing Outsourced CFO and Private Enterprise Tax team in Sydney.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio while enjoying a mixture of Outsourced CFO and Tax work, developing a well-rounded skillset while providing high-level advisory services and making a tangible impact on clients’ growth journeys.

Key responsibilities

You will build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on a variety of outsourced CFO and taxation matters, including:

  • Prepare and analyse management reports, including KPIs and variance analysis

  • Support cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and cost control initiatives

  • Assist clients with strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting on bespoke projects

  • Collaborate with and communicate financial insights to stakeholders, including banks, investors, and business owners

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

  • Participate in the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes

  • Contribute to special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, or funding initiatives

  • Preparation and assistance with Corporate Tax compliance, as well as Family Group compliance, including: financial statement preparation, tax return preparation, business activity statements, payroll tax and FBT

Skills and experience

  • Have commenced (or planning to commence) a CA or CPA qualification

  • Previous experience in business advisory services within a chartered accounting environment, with prior experience in a commercial role also desirable

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a genuine commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes and a positive client experience

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment

  • Driven and motivated, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team
