About the Job
- Our Corporate Affairs & Public Policy team helps the company navigate the complex policy & regulatory landscape in India, advocating for policies that promote the skill-based online gaming sector. As a crucial member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the discourse with progressive, growth-oriented, and consumer-centric policy ideas.
Responsibilities
- Carry out policy analysis and research to strengthen advocacy initiatives, including through detailed analysis with respect to proposed legislation and regulations
- Analyze bills, rules, regulations and parliamentary questions, and policy documents to identify business-critical risks and opportunities for advocacy
- Prepare high-quality original research reports, briefing notes, policy briefs, discussion papers, and internal memos, among others
- Draft talking points, stakeholder representations, and meeting notes for regular internal and external meetings
- Stay abreast of evolving gaming regulations, digital policy, and related legislative trends, and assess their impact on the company
- Assist in organizing roundtables, consultations, policy dialogues, and industry association meetings; support with documentation and follow-up
- Contribute to the wider team’s work streams in the formulation of advocacy strategies, including stakeholder mapping, issue positioning, and timeline planning
- Assist the team in government relations efforts, including scheduling meetings, tracking outreach and stakeholder mapping.
Experience & Qualifications
- Advanced degree in the social sciences, preferably a Master’s in Public Policy.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a public policy think tank, consultancy, government fellowship (e.g. LAMP fellowship).
Skills & Attributes
- Good understanding of Indian regulatory processes
- Excellent communication skills including writing in clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective tools and techniques
- Exceptional time management skills, both independently and collaboratively; superior organization and prioritization skills
- Detail oriented with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Maintain highest professional levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality and integrity
- Possess a keen interest in global technology and regulatory developments
