What will you be doing in this role?
- Under the direction of the Principal and/or Senior Project Manager, the incumbent will take over Projects and/or be the co-PM who performs duties such as the following:
- The planning, implementation and management of assigned projects and tasks in accordance with the appropriate institution's regulations and project management policies and procedures
- Execute the necessary Management and Coordination functions essential to the successful delivery of capability and services
- Take responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution
- Deliver projects within defined Scope, Time, Cost and Quality tolerances
- The identification, planning and allocation of resources to meet project milestones and/or initiate corrective actions when necessary
- Manage proactively the cash flow of projects and contribute to financial planning and reporting
- Coordinate teams and individuals (project team members)
- Lead meetings and conferences with team members, internal/external stakeholders and customers
- Ensure that realistic project plans are maintained and ensure regular and accurate communication to stakeholders
- Participate in other project management related activities
- Deputize for higher grade staff (Senior Project Manager)
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognised university in a relevant discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.
- Exceptionally, candidates without a university degree may qualify with at least 10 years of substantial, progressive experience directly relevant to the duties of the post.
- Recognised Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP). Equivalent expertise demonstrated through extensive professional experience may be accepted in lieu of formal certification.
- Recent and significant Project Management experience (minimum three years) within a large-scale IT organisation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to brief, influence, and collaborate effectively using tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated success leading project teams in complex technology, systems integration, or large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Experience with project management automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and collaborative work platforms.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of JIRA or similar issue-tracking and workflow tools.
- Familiarity with public-sector or institutional acquisition and procurement processes.
- An active security clearance of NATO Secret level at the time of application is mandatory.
