Global PMO and Strategic Programs Team

This team is comprised on Program and Project Managers who are focused on Business Sustainment and working on Innovation, Strategic and Customer Solutioning. The core capabilities for sustaining the business are centered around: enhancing current BU delivery, enabling BU productivity and quality benefits, delivering to meet business objectives and outcomes, and enabling R&DS IT to protect the CRO RDS Business. The team’s focus on strategic programs is centered around: partnering with the Business to solution and enable future offerings and partnering with other technology teams to modernize the ecosystem to enable business innovation and future business strategy.

Program Manager – The Role 

This Associate Program Manager role will support RDS technology strategic programs that align with and support the overarching goals and offerings of the RDS business. This includes both cross functional portfolio management as well as strategic program management. The role will be integral in navigating the RDS business organizations business, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with business priorities and are executed efficiently. This role will support and bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs, fostering innovation and driving success across the organization.

Typical activities will include: 

  • Assisting in defining project portfolio vision and strategy for implementation that links the organization and company goals and strategies; incorporates best practices into the strategy.

  • Oversee multiple strategic programs and/or portfolios of work. Creating work plans and assessing plan-forecast- actual to determine overall health and performance of body of work.

  • Creating and maintaining governance structure for all programs.

  • Identifying and establishing partnerships with management-level stakeholders to build support and consensus and alignment on implementation.

  • Executive presentations and reporting for multiple stakeholders.

  • Maintaining and reporting on program finances and aligning to budget plans.

  • Leading and mentoring other team members on delivery and financial constructs.

  • Identifying and managing program risks, issues and dependencies for project success and ensuring the creation of mitigation plans.

  • Managing conflicts and escalations.

  • Assisting in the defining of metrics for project success across IQVIA.

  • Ensuring team members are aligned with their role and contribution. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate ownership and commitment. 

  • Strong collaboration, communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Articulates healthy leadership principles including relationships, empathy, pragmatism. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. 

  • Ability to be tactful when dealing with delicate situations. 

  • Strong business and financial acumen, prior experience and understanding of finances, budgeting, and data analysis.

  • Prior experience and understanding of the clinical development lifecycle and IQVIA RDS Business model.

  • Prior experience in a senior individual contributor role.

  • Prior experience in a program or project management role, IT or Business/Strategic Operations preferably with experience interfacing with IT partners.

  • Prior experience as an individual contributor with matrix management experience (i.e. led projects with teams of peers: influence, not HR authority). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years prior experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, or a Leadership role

  • Prior Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Financial industry experience

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $67,600.00 - $169,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
