IAG Connect was set up to provide in-flight connectivity (IFC) and in-flight entertainment (IFE) services to IAG airlines. The IAG Connect team provide a range of functions to IAG airlines including the maintenance and development of the IFC connectivity platform and the IFE seatback software. The IFC connectivity platform and IFE seatback software are custom-built software applications which are live on around 400 aircraft across British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and LEVEL. IAG Connect also provides back-office administration for all the connectivity services including customer care, refunds, financial management, tax and audit requirements.
Job Description
The Product
IAG Connect has developed and owns the IP for a unique universal on-board connectivity platform, .air and has deployed this to over 370 aircraft on British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and LEVEL. With integrations into all our technology partners, the .air platform provides a single consistent customer experience regardless of hardware and satellite supplier. With a development roadmap covering customer, crew and non-airline partner needs, the .air platform is a single solution for all on-board IFEC (In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity) requirements.
Job Role
We are seeking an Associate Product Owner to join our IAG Connect team. In this role, you will be part of the product function and will report directly to the Product Manager. Your main responsibility will be to continuously improve and develop the IAG Connect Platform. You will work on delivering a strategic roadmap, created through collaboration with our group airlines, to support and advance the IAG Connect vision.
What you’ll be doing
- Effectively communicate product goals to the delivery team by defining clear acceptance criteria within user stories and discussing them during refinement ceremonies.
- Prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring decisions align with business priorities, customer research, and analytics.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Designers to deliver on your product roadmap.
- Provide support during release periods (which may involve overseas travel) to ensure key user journeys meet requirements.
- Assist the Product Owner with stakeholder updates to ensure transparency on product progress.
- Evaluate and propose user journey optimisations to drive conversion and satisfaction, while promoting efficient working methods to increase development velocity.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- Experience working in or around agile product teams is preferred, or has proactively spent time learning about agile practices.
- Ability to lead and manage teams to deliver against product roadmaps.
- High potential to learn across the broad skillset of product ownership.
- Comfortable reviewing and presenting user analysis and performance metrics.
- An interest in building brilliant B2C product experiences.
