Associate Product Manager
Classification: FLSA Exempt
Reports To: Director of Product, Life Sciences
Summary
Under the guidance of the Director of Product, Life Sciences, designs research software products. This position is responsible for product design and development, commercialization of products, and engagement of customers’ product lines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for a deep understanding of histopathology workflow.
- Identifies product gaps, and generates new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
- Aligns stakeholders with the product strategy through strong communication.
- In partnership with the director, creates buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
- Responsible for translating product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Collaborates with engineering teams to prioritize activities to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
- Provides feedback on product pricing and positioning strategies in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Contributes to 3-year product roadmap.
- Collaborates on product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members.
- Develops promotional plans consistent with product line strategy.
- Attends and hosts relevant events, exhibitions, and meetings.
- Prepares or approves product specific collateral and product presentations for distribution.
- Drives research product projects in collaboration with pathology research groups.
- Provides high level support to customers through image analysis workflow development for complex issues and requests.
- Responsible for the appropriate accessing and handling of electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined by policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical or scientific field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicine, Etc.)
- Two (2) years of experience in product development, product management, lab management, or similar positions within the life science or diagnostics industries
- Authorization to work in the United States, or appropriate authorization to work in the applicant’s current home country (Indica Labs, Inc. does not sponsor work visas)
- Valid Passport for international travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in technical or scientific field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicine, Etc.)
- Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in New Mexico
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver presentations to small and large scientific audiences, often with short notice
- Ability to provide superior customer service
- Intermediate skills in Information Technology (IT) and network knowledge
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas in speaking
- Knowledge of scientific software packages
- Skilled at swiftly changing priorities as requirements are identified
Location
This position is based at our headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA and is open to applicants in the United States. Candidates currently residing within 100 miles of Albuquerque are considered for 100% in-office positions. Candidates currently residing outside of this area are considered for fully remote positions in their home state or country.
