The Role:

Our facility in Chaska, MN is seeking a dynamic Associate Product Manager to join our Fluid Handling Business Unit team to manage and drive profitable revenue and market share growth for the Advanced Material Handling division.

Responsibilities include driving strategic and tactical business planning and execution, product development roadmap, pricing, competitive market analysis, and driving product development and cost reductions projects.

What You'll Do:

Technical

• Develop technical knowledge of market, customers, products, and internal capabilities and processes
• Collaborates with Global Sales team to identify appropriate products and supporting materials to meet customer needs or solve customer problems
• Supports customer product return corrective action activities

New Product Development

• Develop knowledge of and drive the product development process, from new product ideas to exploration, selection, development and market introduction. This consists of all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product and end of life
• Coordinate product sampling and customer evaluation and qualification processes
• Support creation of new part numbers, descriptions and other require fields to support SAP implementation
• Support the Product Change Notification process for product changes and obsolescence.

Marketing

• Coordinate the creation and/or modification of marketing materials; monitors progress and prioritizes as needed; drives projects to completion working with Marketing team.
• Supports content development for collateral and training materials
• Supports pricing approval process utilizing pricing models and projections to monitor and understand the internal manufacturing environment; makes decisions that ensure competitive pricing, protect market position, and support gross margin goals

Supply Chain Management

• Supports goals designed to reduce cost, production and distribution lead-times, and improve quality
• Works with Operations to meet unusual customer expectations, assign priorities and control costs
• Analyzes sales trends, forecasts customer needs and provides input to establish planned inventory levels and locations
• Collaborates with quality and applications teams to monitor and review Quality processes and ensure a timely response and closure to customers
• Administers obsolescence programs and effectively transitions customers to new products while minimizing excess inventory

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business;
• Strength in business analysis; efficient tactical process execution; communication; and cultural diversity
• Ability for occasional travel globally
