The role of Producer presents people with the best opportunity to learn about the tricks and trade of the sports broadcast world. The Producer will be primarily be responsible for post-production of live and non-live shows which will include scripting, pre-production, post-production and working closely with editors. The role would entail working in multiple sports. The role would also entail scripting and translating scripts and graphics into Tamil from English.
About the team:
The Tamil Content Team was the first vernacular language team in the world of Indian sports which was started in 2017. The TV channels are well established in the Tamil market and have an extremely high penetration in excess of 80% in the market. 8+ years in the industry, the Tamil channel has gotten a lot of success but is at the same time looking to re-innovate and come up with new and fresh ideas to reimagine the channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality, creatively executed productions with effective shooting/editing/scripting
- Segments ideas for the show, treatments for segments
- Research on stories, and adequate communication of information to the show producer with suggestions on how the story is to be presented
Skills & Attributes for success
- Basic post-production knowledge (Premier Pro, FCP, After Effects etc.)
- Strong language skills – Reading and ability to script in Tamil
- Working with graphics artists and operators for translations for live and non-live shows.
- Understanding of sports
- Creative story ideation
- Good communication skills
Preferred Education & Experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the world of sports or post-production would also be helpful
- Graduate/Post Graduate in any content/creative stream
