Job Summary

RPA is seeking an Associate Media Director to join our Client Orchestration team, leading integrated media strategy across the (Viking and Resorts World Las Vegas) business. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role for experienced media strategists who already operate with ownership, guiding strategy, investment decisions, and teams with confidence and autonomy. 

The Associate Media Director serves as a primary strategic partner to clients and internal leadership, balancing long-term vision with disciplined oversight to deliver measurable business results. 

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Strategic Media Leadership 
    • Own holistic, full-funnel media strategy aligned to client business goals and KPIs 
    • Lead annual planning, long-range roadmaps, and cross-channel investment frameworks 
    • Push thinking beyond 'the plan' to identify growth opportunities, innovation pilots, and test-and-learn strategies 
    • Act as a strategic thought partner to Media Directors, Account leadership, and clients 
  • Client Leadership 
    • Serve as a senior, day-to-day client lead across major campaigns or initiatives 
    • Lead high-stakes client presentations and strategic conversations independently 
    • Bring a clear point of view and guide clients through trade-offs and recommendations with confidence 
    • Be viewed by clients as a trusted advisor, not just a media executor 
  • Execution Oversight 
    • Oversee investment health, pacing, and performance across channels and partners 
    • Partner closely with Analytics and Investment teams to guide optimization strategy 
    • Proactively identify risks and course-correct across budget, timing, or performance 
    • Maintain final accountability for accuracy, consistency, and storytelling across deliverables 
  • Team & Cross-Functional Leadership 
    • Manage and develop a team and strengthen Media Supervisors as independent leaders 
    • Set and reinforce a high bar for strategic rigor, client readiness, and executional quality 
    • Provide clear direction and feedback without reliance on constant escalation 
    • Collaborate across Account, Analytics, Investment, Insights, and Creative teams to drive alignment and momentum 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Current or recent experience operating at the Associate Media Director level (or equivalent) 
  • Proven ownership of integrated media strategy across multiple channels and significant investment 
  • Experience leading senior client relationships and executive-level conversations 
  • Demonstrated people-management experience with Supervisors and Planners 
  • Ability to make informed, confident decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments 
  • Strong media fundamentals, organization, and strategic thinking to fast moving accounts
  • Exhibit proficiency in a range of media-related tools, including Omni, planning tools such as Media Tools, 3rd party research platforms such as Media Radar
  • Ability to remain adaptable and calm while managing change, shifting priorities, and complex accounts
  • Curiosity, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative mindset

Compensation 

The salary range for this exempt role is up to $120,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the position. Compensation decisions are made thoughtfully and competitively, with a focus on fairness, internal equity, and market alignment. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for RPA’s full benefits package and growth opportunities within the agency.
