This is the entry level of the Marketing Mgr job hierarchy. Employees at this level perform assignments with some supervision. Incumbents are expected to possess general marketing knowledge applicable to various marketing functions. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts to work that will become more complex and varied.
Basic/Required Qualifications:

Must have obtained bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program.

Must have completed a Duke Energy internship/co-op prior.

Student must successfully complete and obtain their degree prior to their scheduled start date.

Demonstrated advancing application of marketing theories and principles

Ability to deal with a variety of individuals

Good written and oral communication skills

Understanding of basic principles of project management

Experience in the utility industry
