Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for an Associate Manufacturing Planner to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC3) team located in Huntsville, Alabama. This role will be involved in production support activities as well as continuous development projects improving manufacturing.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and planning
- Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to review manufacturing build flows for planning producibility
- Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve product quality and production efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall manufacturing performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience in manufacturing planning & production support
- Experience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Experience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production support
- STEM focused Associates degree
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Competent in Model-Based Design
- Competent in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Competent in MESci or similar Manufacturing system
- Competent in Material Resource Planning (MRP) Systems (eg. CompassContract)
- Experience in CAD software suites
- Experience in Windchill or similar engineering management databases
- Active Secret clearance
