The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer for Phantom Works located in Berkeley, MO to support our Specialty Materials Manufacturing portfolio.

Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the development and implementation of production methodologies and tooling for specific materials that are manufactured in St. Louis. You will collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes that meet stringent quality standards.
Position Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, plans, and tooling methodologies for specific material fabrication.
• Collaborate with IPTs to support the integration of technical solutions and ensure manufacturability of material specs.
• Investigate and resolve technical problems related to material manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the implementation of Lean principles to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Resolve technical issues that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule.
• Conduct data analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders to align on product development and manufacturing goals.
• Perform producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capabilities meet requirements.
• Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 2+ years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

• Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with Paint and Chemical manufacturing or applications.
• Authored Work Orders and supported fabrication efforts within a production environment.
• Experience as a Process Engineer, specifically with the Food and Beverage Industry, Chemical production Industry or Paint Manufacturing Industry.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
