Position Overview
The Associate Logistics Coordinator is an important operations position within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) portfolio for E2open. In this role, a team member is dedicated to a customer and assigned the tactical management of the customer’s transportation within a specific workgroup, playing a critical role in the customer’s supply chain by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from origin to destination.
Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Guide our clients' entire supply chain process, from planning to delivery. This includes choosing the best transport methods, ensuring timely dispatch, and coordinating delivery schedules to optimize service and cost.
- Carrier Coordination: Actively communicate with transport providers to guarantee smooth operations and timely deliveries, handling any changes or delays effectively.
- Cost Management: Oversee and decide on additional charges, manage shipment-related expenses, and negotiate rates to stay within budget while maintaining service quality.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues in the delivery process, offering creative solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators like on-time deliveries and carrier efficiency to improve our service continuously.
- Relationship Building: Establish strong, trusting client relationships, serving as a reliable advisor.
- Organizational Skills: Maintain up-to-date information on assigned tasks and be available to provide on-call/after-hours support through a phone rotation system as needed.
- Teamwork: Collaborate in holiday coverage and operational demands to meet customer needs.
Qualifications and Experiences
- 2+ years of relevant and equivalent experience
- 1+ years of customer service and/or supplier management experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with supply chain software (E2open’s portfolio suite or JDA, SAP, Oracle, Mercury Gate, Pinc, etc.) is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others without role power.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Proven problem-solving ability; comfortable analyzing large data sets and presenting recommendations.
- Advanced English is required to perform the job.
Physical Requirements
General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of the computer, which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday.
- Placing and receiving phone calls.
