About this role
APAC Institutional Client Business (ICB) is responsible for understanding the overall strategic, investment and risk management needs of the largest Institutions and translating these into commercial opportunities for our business. The team works with a wide range of clients including sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pension funds, insurers, and banks, to offer the full range of BlackRock products and solutions.
We partner with clients to build bespoke solutions that meet their specific needs, backed by our market-leading in-house technology and risk analytics. The team is based across APAC in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Australia, South Korea and Japan, and works closely with colleagues around the globe to deliver the best of BlackRock to APAC Institutional investors.
This position offers the candidate the opportunity to be part of a dynamic business development team. We are seeking an energetic sales / relationship management professional with a growth mindset to serve our client’s investment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deepen client relationships with Hong Kong and Macau government-related institutions, endowments, pensions and family offices
Support senior relationship manager in executing business development strategies within Hong Kong and Macau Institutional business
Scope out industry landscape and proactively approach prospect clients, originate and monetize business opportunities
Prepare sales materials for key client's sales pitch. coordinate and present at client seminars and roadshows, etc.
Facilitate client’s portfolios and investments service requirements
Assist client’s queries in a timely and professional manner, answering client’s queries on product / investment related matters efficiently and accurately, and understanding each client’s unique demands
Liaise with internal product teams globally to develop solutions to respond to client’s investment needs
Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage client’s trade life cycle, including Client Servicing, Onboarding, Legal & Compliance, Contracting, Product Strategists, Reporting, Billing and any other relevant teams for client delivery
Regularly monitor mandates with portfolio performance at risk and propose defense strategies and follow up with clients proactively
Key Requirements:
4 - 6 relevant years of experience, preferably in a top tier investment or wealth management firm with both public and private investment fund knowledge
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to build influential relationships both internally and externally
Ability to resolve challenging situations, exercise sensible judgment and handle complex client requirements independently
Client-focused, detail-oriented, mature, confident, self-motivated
Local securities license is required
Computer proficiency in English & Chinese character input; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Morningstar (preferred) and Bloomberg terminal (preferred) applications
Language proficiency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
