This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Associate II, Electromechanical Technical Support (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks related to electro-mechanical systems, including troubleshooting, testing, and assembling assemblies, as well as installing, calibrating, and repairing equipment. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Handle complex tasks related to the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot, test, and assemble electro-mechanical assemblies
- Assist in reworking, repairing, and modifying non-conforming equipment
- Install, calibrate, test, repair, and upgrade equipment and systems, including components of devices, control equipment, operation panels, and facility infrastructure
- Assist engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems
- Inspect and maintain equipment using tools and diagnostic software
- Use computer-aided-design software to model proposed systems to assess safety and reliability
- Make strategic decisions within your project area, driving project performance and technological innovation
- Stay current with advances in electromechanical systems
- Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control
- Complete all required training
- Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization
- Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs; MS)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Location: Onsite-Johns Creek, Georgia
- Schedule: 12 hour, Night Shift
