We are seeking a motivated Associate GIS Analyst to support the development, processing, validation, and maintenance of geospatial datasets for flood hazard mapping and catastrophe risk modeling. The role involves working with GIS, remote sensing, Python automation, and spatial analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality geospatial products.
Responsibilities- Develop, process, validate, and maintain GIS datasets required for flood modeling and hazard mapping.
- Perform raster and vector data processing, spatial analysis, terrain analysis, and GIS data QA/QC.
- Prepare and maintain datasets such as DEMs, LiDAR, river networks, catchments, flood zones, and hydrography.
- Develop and maintain Python (ArcPy and open-source Python) scripts to automate GIS workflows.
- Collect, integrate, and validate geospatial datasets from reliable sources and maintain metadata.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and timely GIS products.
- Support the adoption of AI-assisted geospatial workflows and emerging GIS technologies.
- Master's degree in Geo-Informatics, Remote Sensing & GIS, Spatial Technologies, or a related discipline.
- 0–3 years of experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, or Flood GIS (internships and academic projects are acceptable).
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, QGIS, and Python (ArcPy); knowledge of SQL is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of raster and vector data processing, spatial analysis, GIS QA/QC, CRS, and geodatabase management.
- Basic knowledge of hydrology, DEM/LiDAR processing, and flood GIS workflows; exposure to AI/ML for geospatial applications is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.
