This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.
In this fast-paced role, you'll work cross-functionally with internal teams and contracted outside vendors responsible for facilities maintenance, for example, housekeeping, grounds care, roofing, and other necessary services. The Wichita location has 180 buildings and covers 13 million square feet, so you'll not only perform computer-related activities, you'll also move around the site to review and assess ongoing projects. Position Responsibilities:
- Plans and integrates the resources necessary for maintaining or improving the company's physical assets.
- Collaborates with maintenance technicians/managers and production leadership to establish schedules for equipment and systems.
- Create and analyzes reports and equipment data to identify potential issues and develop maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns or failures.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, maintenance logs.
- Manages computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other relevant software to facilitate documentation and analysis of maintenance data; ensuring accurate documentation.
- Participates in cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives and ensure effective maintenance practices
- Generates reports to monitor the daily, weekly, and monthly performance (KPIs).
- Recommend and implements continuous process improvements.
- Analyzes and improves facilities methods and conditions.
- Coordinates activities with other company organizations and customers.
- Interfaces with company organizations, customers, and suppliers.
- Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Will consider applicants without higher education as long as the experience is relevant.
- Intermediate or stronger proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of facilities experience.
- Experience with managing projects, project management principles, best practices, and related software.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and local and state laws.
- Experience with Maximo CMMS software.
- Experience with Power BI and SQL.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
