Boeing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Support Engineering Data Specialist to join our Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence management group. This position will focus on supporting Bombers and Military Commercial Derivative modification and sustainment contracts. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in establishing and managing DMSMS programs, ensuring the continued operational effectiveness of our military aircraft.
Position Responsibilities:
- Establish DMSMS Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive DMSMS programs to proactively address potential material shortages and obsolescence issues
- Gather Engineering Data: Collect and analyze engineering data necessary for conducting thorough DMSMS analyses
- Identify DMSMS Risks and Issues: Monitor and identify risks and issues related to DMSMS that may impact program performance and aircraft readiness
- Evaluate Impact: Assess the potential impact of identified DMSMS risks and issues on current and future operations
- Develop Recommendations and Roadmaps: Create actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps for DMSMS resolution, ensuring alignment with program objectives and stakeholder requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience with aerospace products and/or product support
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data
- Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills are required to succeed in this position as well as presentation and facilitation skills to work with cross-functional groups in establishing and achieving common goals
- Experience with project management and self- managing projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Familiarity with military aircraft systems and modification processes
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance standards in the aerospace industry
