Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on silicon photonic IC testing and performance characterization.
- Operate and maintain optical and electrical test equipment.
- Handle, manage and inspect fine materials with precision and care.
- Assist in material handling and picking for various projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with the Program Manager, Design Engineer, and other team members.
- Identify and solve problems that arise during the testing and characterization process.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and material usage.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related
- Industry background with 1yr+ working experiences, lab experiences preferred
- Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in material management and handling fine materials.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings
