TITLE: Associate Engineer

LOCATION: NY - Rochester - Scottsville Rd

SALARY RANGE: $62964 - $80,673

Education and Experience preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology.

• 0-3 years of experience with electrical equipment maintenance, testing and/or design.

• A registered professional engineer or the ability to obtain certification is a plus.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with the interpretation of network operating procedures, safety instructions, the national electrical safety code, regulatory reliability metrics.

• Experience with ANSI, IEEE, and NETA electrical equipment testing standards.

• Good communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

• Experience with SAP.

• Ability to analyze test results.

• Ability to support the creation of detailed reports and process manuals.

• Familiarity with equipment maintenance concepts such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, Etc.

• Familiarity with utility Transmission and Distribution Standards

Responsibilities

Evaluates test data, performs engineering analyses associated with maintenance engineering activities, and creates reports. (80%). Participates in working groups with other Avangrid and Iberdrola companies/departments for new initiatives to align processes, share experiences, and develop global standards. (10%) Provides regular updates on the progress of maintenance activities. Expedites the implementation of maintenance activities when necessary. (10%)
